SW’s upcoming projects must be magnificent, but somehow we feel like we miss Porcupine Tree as Hitler does…

What was the first album you ever heard by 1?

Probably ReLoad.

What is your favorite album of 4?

Ashes of The Wake.

What kind of impact has 1 left on your life?

They always seem to go their own way, and that’s how I like to be.

What are your favorite lyrics of 5?

Cause yesterday don’t mean shit

What’s over is over and nothing between

Yesterday don’t mean shit

Because tomorrow is the day you will have to face

There’s no rewinding time…”

How many times have you seen 4 live?

Haven’t…yet.

What is your favorite album by 2?

Slipknot (self titled)

Is there any song by 3 that makes you sad?

There’s a lot that do. Not necessarily sad, but they give some feeling similar.

What is your favorite album by 1?

Ride the Lightening, at the moment.

How did you get into 3?

My friend introduced me to them over the internet. I fell in love on the first listen.

What is your favourite album by 5?

That’s a tough one. I want to say Cowboys From Hell, but I love Vulgar Display of Power, and the Great Southern Trendkill. Fuuuuu-

How many times have you seen 2 live?

I’ve gotten very close, twice!

First one, they had to cancel. Second one would have been yesterday, but I didn’t trust my car to make it 300+ miles. Had the tickets and everything. FUCK.

What is a good memory concerning 1?

Basically my childhood in general. My mom had this friend, and she was way into Metallica back in the day. She was basically an aunt to me, miss her a lot.

The complete change of the view on music.

I still listen to a lot of what I used to. But I’ve grown to see the differences in the musicians that do it, because they’re passionate about it, and people who know how to get masses to buy into their SHIT.

Is there a song by 4 that makes you sad?

Not really… I mean, Reclamation makes me sad, because it’s a perfect song for the world as it is now.

What is your favorite album by 3?

Hard decisions! I think I’ll have to go with Signify, or The Sky Moves Sideways.

Sheep.

This is only my second blog post. Still trying to get used to posting things. So I figured, why not start it off with a rant, because I like to complain. :)

Proverbs 3:5 says “Trust in the Lord with all thy heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding.”

So  was lurking around on face book at some friends of my friends pages (forgive my illiteracy). I happened to stroll upon the page of a guy I went to high school with. At first I wasn’t so surprised at what I saw. He’d always talked about how he considered himself republican, as well as being LDS (Mormon), and in his ‘about me’ section he talked about how he was a ‘thinker’. So I looked at his wall, and noticed that he had posted the above Proverb. By posting this proverb, he managed to totally contradict himself. Now I know this isn’t really a big deal, it happens all the time. The thing that annoys me the most, is people like this who like to run around thinking they’re right, the type of people who are always on a high horse when it comes to these type of things. These are the type of people that need to be slapped in the face.

Let’s dissect this sentence:

  • “Trust in the lord with all thy heart,…” okay, this isn’t nothing anyone’s heard before. But the problem is, that people blindly listen to this. For what reason? Why should anyone trust something that they clearly cannot prove exists? Why? Again, not a big deal.
  • Then we have: “…and lean not unto thine own understanding.” Okay… The fact that this might have made sense to anyone even in the ‘biblical’ days baffles me. Really? Right from the start people took ignorance over instinct and knowledge?

Again, I’m not shocked by this, or the fact that people would believe such illogical things. I just wish that there weren’t so much ignorance in the world. You know you’re sure as hell not a ‘thinker’ when you actually give praise to a statement like this. People, please, let go of the ignorance. I know it’s nice, but I’d sure rather be a suffering thinker, rather than an ignorant sheep.
